H&M Top | H&M Black Skirt | Asos Heels (Similar) | Cross body bag (Similar)
Trust me when I say we all have hidden talents, trust me again when I say we all have the ability to manoeuvre a DIY. I’m loving the fringe vibe and I put myself to work by adding Ankara to my black skirt and viola.
Here is how to make your own. You need half a yard Ankara fabric depending on the length of skirt you will be using, a pair of scissors, a needle and a thread.
1. Turn your skirt inside out and sow the Ankara at the bottom edge of the skirt. (I hand sewed but you can definitely use a machine if you have one).
2. After sowing, turn the skirt back.
3. Lay the skirt down and begin to cut the the fabric in a fringe like manner.
4. Finally hem the edges of each cut to prevent shedding.
DIY projects are fun and it allows you to do something with your own stamp on it ☺️, feel free to share some of your DIY’s and let me know what you think of this one xoxo.
